NOCONA COLLEGE BOOTS-CAMPUS FOOTWEAR

Be true to your school:

NOCONA BOOTS

Rugged, fashionable cowgirl/guy kickers by the brand with"Rich Heritage, Rich Beauty"

And this is true-too.

We wore a pair of the Nocona fashion, distressed leopard, western style boots (now available)...at the most recent Outdoor Retailer trade show that ended two days ago.

As we logged about 8 miles a day, typically at a fast pace, our concern for comfort was real...but quickly abated when we put on the kickers...as the insole is actually cushion-y- with just enough arch support as to be-well-supportive...and the wear right outta of the box comfort, with no break in time needed, surprised us. Plus-the 1-1/2 inch underslung heel=thoroughly wearable.

What surprised us even more - the boatload of compliments we got...from GUYS...which included about a dozen "nice boots" aside comments from dudes we cruised by as we hurried from one appointment to another -on the massive Salt Palace trade floor.

PLUS, one...

''hey girly, girly-nice boots" remark.

Okay that was delivered by an inebriated guy (yes, people do get a tad tipsy, even on that 3.2% beer in Salt Lake City-ha ha)...but still...

All of which made us think about our suburban dwelling gal pals on Match.com---imo- ditch the online profiles and just get a pair of these boots.

BTW...a few women gave kudos too...and fyi, we paired with our Helmut Lang black leggings and a Walter tunic top (also black). A FUN!!!! way to bump our usual head to toe black wardrobe.

Texas Nocona boots

LOVE - the Texas long horn boots---we'd wear'em and we didn't even go there.

FYI: Nocona as a brand has quite the larger than life- history-founded in 1925 by Miss Enid,  the daughter of "Daddy Joe"---the leather craftsman par excellence,  founding father of Justin Boots.

Miss Enid herself learned the finer points of how to make magnificently detailed, handworked cowboy boots for 12 years-working alongside her dad---

When after a series of (un)/fortunate events, established her own small shop in her hometown of Nocona, Texas...during the roaring 20's when the tough landscape of Texan of oilfields required rugged boots that were a world away from the Charleston dancin' polished dance floors back East.

WHAT ELSE: Nocona also has a slew of series of men's and women's more traditional western style kickers---including boots made for rodeo competitors and ranchers (or wannabes)...
